The Roma Denver is a stylish and compact scooter that is ideal for those that want to travel with their scooter or to store it conveniently. The striking orange colour gives it a modern feel and it is quick and easy to dismantle, without the need for any tools. This is not a scooter for venturing out on long journeys as it only has a battery range of up to 10miles/ 16kms. However, it is an extremely transportable, modern mobility scooter that is available at a great price for a convenient entry point model.
I managed to break the Denver down into 5 parts within a few minutes and it was just as easy to reassemble. Both the seat and steering column pop off with no force at all, and the battery unit can be removed using a simple clip mechanism. The motor then tips back and comes off the back of the scooter with ease. By simply lifting a bar on the side of the adjustable foldable seat, it will swivel for easy access. For further accessibility, the armrests are width adjustable and can be flipped up as well as removed for storing.
Design: 4/5
The puncture proof wheels are big enough to enable a smooth ride and greater ground clearance with front and rear shock absorbers adding to the comfort. This scooter has simple controls that include front LED light and horn buttons as well as a speed control dial that ranges from a ‘tortoise’ symbol to a ‘hare’ symbol. The seat comes with a handy rear storage pocket and a plastic shopping basket clips onto the front of the steering wheel for picking up your daily essentials.
Comfort: 4/5
The padded seat can be moved forwards and backwards and the arm rests can be width adjusted to suit the user. As this scooter is designed for convenience and transportability, the seat is not as sturdy or large as the bigger models so I have scored it lower in that regard.
Safety: 5/5
This scooter has all of the necessary safety features, including; anti-tipping back wheels for greater stability, a front LED light and bigger tyres for greater ground clearance.
