We wanted to update you as to what is happening at Forbes whilst this pandemic unfolds.
With a number of our staff now working remotely, we regret that new customers only have access to our essential home appliances. We are channelling our resources to ensure that we are delivering the requisite service to our much valued existing customers as well as our commercial clients.
Our clients include the NHS and care homes, who are obviously facing some unprecedented demands at the moment. As part of their supply chain network, our commercial division, Forbes Professional has been very busy delivering and installing essential commercial laundry and dishwashing equipment for these premises.
As our office staff are working from home, we have donated the entire contents of our tuck shop to St George's Hospital. Our Sales Manager, Janice, kindly took all of the food to her local community hub in Surrey who then delivered it to the hospital. We also collected and donated some hand cream as we can only imagine how sore the NHS staff's hands must be given that ours too are drying up from all of this incessant washing! Along with the rest of the Nation, we are so very grateful for all that the NHS are doing.
Like everyone, we just hope that the social distancing measures take effect soon and we can resume our full operation. We are thankful for the modern technology that enables us to work remotely, and to hold regular ‘virtual meetings’ with our teams.
We hope that you are taking care and thank you for bearing with us at this difficult time.
