Staff Spotlight: Alice Englefield – 30 Years of Excellence at Forbes Rentals

We're sending our warmest wishes (and a few happy tears) to Alice Englefield, who has just left Forbes Rentals to begin an exciting new chapter at Birmingham University, where she'll be studying Philosophy.

Alice first joined us on a work experience placement in July 2023 and quickly became a valued member of the team. From there, she took on the role of Saturday Sales Support and also provided cover during the school holidays – always stepping up with professionalism, positivity, and a bright smile.

In her time with us, Alice has been an invaluable support to the Sales Team, taking on key responsibilities such as contacting customers, confirming details, and conducting credit checks. Her confident and friendly manner over the phone, coupled with her natural enthusiasm, made her a real asset – and an absolute delight to work with.

Last week, we sent Alice off in style with a celebratory lunch and some goodies, though we’re not saying goodbye for good! We’re already looking forward to welcoming her back over the Christmas holidays.

Alice is part of the Forbes family in more ways than one – her grandmother, Janice, has been a key member of our management team for many years. As a family-run business, we love welcoming new generations onboard, and Alice has lived up to the legacy!

She will be very missed, but we are so proud of all she’s achieved so far and can’t wait to see what she does next.
