Abdul Jamaldin, Forbes Rentals Service Engineer

Last month, we introduced you to Harry, one of our appliance refurbishment technicians helping extend the life of essential household items. This month, we’re highlighting another key figure in our refurbishment team, Abdul Jamaldin, Abdul is a highly adept, City and Guilds qualified service engineer, whose work keeps our rental TVs, cookers and mobility scooters in excellent condition, ready for their next home.

Abdul joined us in 2003 and has been a vital force in our service department ever since, with a calm, focused presence. His role focuses on inspecting, repairing, and preparing rental products so they can be returned to stock and re-rented with confidence. Whether it’s a television or a mobility scooter, Abdul approaches every task with care, precision, and a sense of pride.

“Abdul is a pleasure to see each day,” says Kevin Herring, CEO. “He has been with us for 22 years now and is a very skilled engineer who works with great care and consistency. His attention to detail is exceptional, and he takes enormous pride in his work.”

Abdul’s diligent work plays a big part in supporting the circular economy that we believe in. Our qualified engineers work hard to keep high-quality rental stock in circulation. Abdul’s repair and maintenance enables us to give customers access great products at lower prices- without the need to buy new, depreciating assets.

“It’s great to work for a family business with such a strong reputation,” Abdul says. “There’s real purpose in what we do here, and everyone’s treated with respect. That makes you want to give your best every day.”

Abdul is known for his gentle demeanour, his politeness, and his steady commitment to doing things properly. In a business that values trust, reliability, and care, Abdul is exactly the kind of person you want on your team.
