Forbes celebrates our sales manager’s ongoing commitment to our business.

In the fast-paced world of business, it can be considered rare to find individuals who commit themselves wholeheartedly to a single organization for an extended period. However, Forbes Rentals is proud of our extraordinarily low turnover of staff, with a great number of our staff having worked with us for over 20 years.
We thought we would give a public shout out to recognise some of the staff that are central to our customers’ experiences of our business. This week we want to acknowledge our Sales Manager, Janice Englefield, who has dedicated 27 years of her career to our company. Throughout her tenure, Janice has been an exemplary leader, driving growth and fostering a culture of excellence within her team.
From when she joined the company almost three decades ago, Janice’s unwavering commitment and determination set her apart as a sales professional with an exceptional work ethic and an innate ability to understand customer needs. Janice is deeply committed to delivering the right product for each individual customer, and has developed a highly consultative sales team that know exactly what questions to pose to help customers make the right decisions. Over the years, Janice has played a pivotal role in transforming Forbes Rentals into a trusted name in the industry. Her strategic insights combine with her deep understanding of the technology and products available. Her passion for cultivating talent and fostering a collaborative work environment has been instrumental in nurturing our sales team.
In an era of rapidly evolving technology and changing consumer demands, our business needs to be at the forefront of embracing innovation. Established in 1926, Forbes needs to quickly adapt to new technologies and trends, ensuring that we remain agile and competitive with our electrical and home appliance rental offering. This requires Janice to coordinate regular in-house and manufacturer training for her sales team in order to ensure that they fully understand each and every product. By collating regular customer feedback and offering cutting-edge technology, we continuously enhance our customer experience, ensuring that Forbes Rentals remains a renowned and trusted national rental business.
By placing customers at the core of our operations, Forbes has built strong relationships based on trust, reliability, and exceptional service. Our ability to anticipate customer needs has resulted in an incredibly loyal customer base. The long-lasting relationships that we nurture with our customers are a testament to our staff’s dedication and unwavering commitment to exceeding customer expectations. We are truly privileged to have such an amazing management team who help us ensure professionalism and customer-centricity permeate all levels of our business.
When not at work, Janice is always busy; whether with her treasured grandchildren, gardening, at the gym, the theatre, out for supper with her husband and friends or doing her lunch time power walks. She says of working at Forbes; “Whilst Forbes has been in operation for almost a century, it remains a family business today and I think that is a big contributor to the working environment. I honestly feel that there is a real ‘Forbes Community’ that extends beyond the staff to include the nationwide customer base. We work hard to ensure that customers receive the very best service at all time. Our customers” journey starts with the sales consultation and includes the delivery and user demonstration of the rented electrical or home appliance as well as the breakdown response. A key element of the journey is also the ongoing communication that we maintain through our weekly email broadcasts and our bi-annual newsletters. We build long term relationships with our customers, guiding them through technological advances and helping them achieve the best product efficiency for their homes. Over the three decades that I have been at Forbes the product range has changed immeasurably but the service remains the same. We now rent mobility scooters, cookers, fridges, freezers, washing machines, tumble dryers, TVs and AV equipment. Despite the huge range of products available, our staff are equipped with all of the knowledge they need to ensure that customers make the right choices for their specific budget and requirement. We do the research so that our rental customers don’t have to do it themselves’’
